The young hispanic sat on a rock with his drawing notebook in his lap. With a pencil in one hand and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth, Angel looked picturesque. The pencil bag beside him lay open. He was staring at the forest trying to capture it right but something seemed to be lacking in it. It seemed too flat on the page before him. Closing his eyes for a moment, he took a long drag on the cigarette and tried to figure out what it was that he wasn't seeing. Trees rustled in the breeze and slowly he opened his eyes.

The trees of the forest were rather quite beautiful. A soft voice lifted on a gentle breeze, as a young asian girl sang softly. Of course, she hadn't known someone else might be around, so she merely just thought she was singing to herself. Her dark brown almost black hair blew with the breeze. An off-shoulder black shirt clung to her torso, while black jeans clung to her hips and legs, and sneakers clung to her feet. Around her neck was nestled a rather peculiar necklace. It was mainly just a silver key inlaid with diamonds that hung from a silver chain. Her dark brown eyes gazed at the forests and occasionally swept across the trail. Though, it wasn't long before Engelina made her way in front of a guy. A guy, that she hadn't even seen sitting there.

Angel didn't move as the girl came into view, though a smile crossed his face. This was what was missing from his drawing. Suddenly, fairies came to mind, and before he could stop himself he was incorporating the girl into his drawing as a wood nymph sitting in one of the trees. Sighing slightly, he finished up and finally changed positions. "Nice voice you have there." Angel muttered in her direction. He knew that he had startled her, but he figured he was there first.

'Nice voice you have there.' The words startled her and caused her to glance in the direction that the voice had come from. Her dark brown eyes glanced at him. Blushing, she allowed a rather bashful smile to appear on her face. "T..thanks," she muttered in response. Finally noticing the drawing notebook in his hand, she felt almost ashamed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt your drawing. I thought I was alone out here," she commented, as the blush seemed to stay on her face. Shuffling her right foot in the dirt of the trail, she lowered her gaze.

"You didn't interrupt my drawing." He muttered with a grin. He didn't know why the girl seemed nervous. She had nothing to worry about from him. After the way Erin had broke his heart, Angel was in no mood to take on a girl in anything other than a friendship. However, most of the girls he had met could not understand that. "I'm Angel Gomez, and you are?" He stood lithely but didn't cross the distance between them. If she was nervous, he was about to invade her space.

'You didn't interrupt my drawing.' She heard him mutter and saw the grin that followed. Her head lifted as her gaze rested on him for awhile. He seemed different than most guys she had met. 'I'm Angel Gomez, and you are?' She heard him question her, as he stood up. But, she noticed that he made no move towards her. "I'm glad that I didn't interrupt your drawing. I'm Engelina Hikari. It's nice to meet you, Angel," the soft, honeyed tones drifted from her vocals. He was the first person that had ever complimented her singing. And, the only guy to let her have some space when first meeting them. For which, she was thankful.

"The pleasure is all mine." He muttered easily. Closing his notebook gently, he crossed his arms across his chest. His foot pressed up against the tree behind him as he leaned back into it. "I take it you are as new here as I am?" This was the first person he had met here, though up until now he had been intentionally avoiding people. He really felt no need to be one of the guys, and he really really didn't want to be haunted by girls right now. Angel loved his solitude and he loved to draw. THat was all.

'The pleasure is all mine.' The words entered her ears with ease, as she watched him relax against the tree. Once more, her shyness threatened to take over. But, she tried to push it away. She didn't want to be shy around him nor anyone. But, no matter what she did. She always managed to close up herself from people. People that either wanted to help her, to hurt her, or just be a friend to her. Sighing slightly, she listened to his next words. 'I take it you are as new here as I am?' Carefully, she nodded her head to his words. "Afraid so. I met a few others earlier, but other than that. I'm new here, as well," she commented. Her dark brown gaze watched him, before she turned her gaze away. Letting her eyes scan over forests and the trail, she smiled slightly. She loved the feel of the forests around her. She knew, if she could, she'd escape into the forests as often as she could. Even if just to get away from the every day life.

Angel leaned off the tree and put his book under his arm. "Well, I think I'm going to head up to the school." He looked over his shoulder at her as he started to walk away. "You coming? Usually I wouldn't be in a hurry, but I figure my dog isn't so happy being locked away in my room. He rarely let anyone around Han as he had just adopted her from a pound at home as a buddy to go off to school with, but he figured it was about time he saw how the dog did with others.
